MOAEYC is an affilaite of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and oversees the chapters formed across the state. Volunteer leaders in any areas may establish a chapter and bring opportunities for professioanl development and local resources to their community. Currently there are chapters in Kansas City, Rolla, St. Louis, Mid-Missouri (Jefferson City area), St. Joseph, Lexington, Jefferson County (SE MO), and Rivers Bend (St. Charles County) . There is also a YPAC chapter (young professionals/college students) located at UCM (Warrensburg).
A virtual Leadership Chapter and a Director's Support Group (FaceBook) are open to those in leadership positions and anyone interested in supporting early childhood leaders in their daily responsibilities.
